tlloancy Review QR is a small Gutenberg block (and a shortcode) for collecting feedback. It is not a reviews display plugin: it does not pull stars or comments from Google. It builds a scannable QR that sends people to whatever review page you choose.
Not the same as Rich Plugins. Rich Showcase for Google Reviews shows existing Google reviews. This plugin only finds a listing (optional autocomplete, same kind of magnifying-glass search) and turns the write-a-review link — or any other URL — into a QR code.
What it does
- Insert the tlloancy Review QR block, or save QR codes from Settings tlloancy Review QR.
- Search a listing (Place ID and Maps URLs work too). Choosing a result on the settings page adds a small card with its shortcode.
- Or paste any review link: Facebook, Trustpilot, TripAdvisor, a form on your own site, a booking page — if it is an
http(s)URL, it works. - A QR code is generated locally (no third-party QR service).
- The heading defaults to “Let us know what you think of us!” and is editable on every block.
- Layout follows the theme: inherited font and text color, fluid width, left / center / right / wide alignment.
No Google API key. Type a business name, paste a Place ID (ChIJ…), a Maps URL, or any review link.

External services
When an editor types a business name (not a Place ID or URL), the plugin queries Photon (Komoot) then Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) to list matching places. That happens only in wp-admin / the block editor. The public site never calls those services. The QR then points at a Google Maps or write-a-review URL built from what you picked.

No. That plugin displays reviews. This one only creates a heading + QR that opens a review (or any) URL.

Do I need a Google API key?

No. A review link is just a URL. Search uses public Nominatim (OpenStreetMap). A Place ID or Maps URL is enough for the official Google write-a-review link.

Can the QR point at something that is not Google?

Yes. Paste any
httpslink in the block sidebar or in the search field. The QR encodes that URL as-is. -
How do I change the sentence above the QR?

Click it in the editor. The default comes from Settings tlloancy Review QR (English source string: “Let us know what you think of us!”). Once community translations are available on translate.wordpress.org, a localized site uses that translation until you override it.

Can I print the QR?

Yes. On Settings tlloancy Review QR, each saved card has Download PNG (print at home or send to a printer) and Download SVG (vector, for a print shop).

What does Save Changes save?

Only the default heading, QR size, and new-tab option. Choosing a search result saves the QR to the list. Delete on a card removes that saved QR.

Where is the QR generated?

On your WordPress server, as SVG. Nothing is sent to a QR SaaS.
