wp-cleanfix

I used this through gritted teeth as I saw some poor reviews, but the database optimizer I’ve been using was WP-Optimize which normally is excellent seemed to fail cleaning revisions on a certain site I had. Installed this plugin, did it’s job without fuss and removed ALL my revisions as I wanted and cleaned up more than WP-Optimize could. Perfect, well happy. These sort of plugins are more suited for those that know what their doing, and more importantly have a backup FIRST!

This plugin does clean things up. But, if you don’t know what all those various files are, you could find you have deleted things you didn’t intend to. I was happy, thinking I could clean up a lot of extra bits of this and that and maybe have more space in the database. But, somehow this clean up decimated my collected resource links for my site. More than half are gone. I don’t even see any order to how they were removed. But, it’s probably fixable, in time. I don’t blame the plugin for this. But, I am wishing I had not tried it.

It crashes the site and never go back without removing the plugin files manually via FTP.

I Dont know why?

This is only part of a plugin, it needs another framework to function, but the download link says ‘cannot be found’. So, it doesn’t work at all.
