No data is sent to any third-party or external service by this plugin. Captured values are only transmitted when a visitor submits a Contact Form 7 form, at which point they are included in that form's own submission and notification email exactly like any other form field.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Install and activate <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/contact-form-7\/\">Contact Form 7<\/a> if it isn't already.<\/li>\n<li>Upload the <code>plx-utm-attribution<\/code> folder to <code>\/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code>, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.<\/li>\n<li>Activate the plugin through the \"Plugins\" screen in WordPress.<\/li>\n<li>That's it \u2014 every existing and new CF7 form will automatically receive the hidden UTM fields and the extra lines in its notification email. No configuration is needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"do%20i%20need%20to%20add%20anything%20to%20my%20contact%20form%207%20form%20templates%3F\"><h3>Do I need to add anything to my Contact Form 7 form templates?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. The hidden fields are injected automatically into every CF7 form on the site.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20happens%20if%20contact%20form%207%20isn%27t%20installed%3F\"><h3>What happens if Contact Form 7 isn't installed?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>The plugin's hooks simply never run, so nothing happens \u2014 no errors, no output. Contact Form 7 is required for the plugin to have any effect.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"where%20is%20the%20utm%20data%20stored%3F\"><h3>Where is the UTM data stored?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Only in the visitor's own browser (<code>localStorage<\/code>), for up to 30 days, until it is submitted through a CF7 form.
