Sometimes handing your site over to clients or when you run a site with multiple users if can be a pain to explain how your \nusers can create their own profile picture for comments or any other custom functionality that uses the get_avatar() function.<\/p>\n\n

Before they would have to create a global Gravatar account which is fine if that's what you want however, with this plugin there \nis no need to rely on your users having a Gravatar account.<\/p>\n\n

This plugin will allow the users on your WordPress site to upload their own Profile Picture through the Media Library either by Uploading a new file or choosing one from the Media Library.<\/p>\n\n\n

This is how to install the plugin and get it working.<\/p>\n\n

  1. Upload tismy-user-profile-upload.zip<\/code> to the \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory.<\/li>\n
  2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.<\/li>\n
  3. In the user Edit Profile view of the logged in user there will be a new Profile Image section below the Toolbar section.<\/li>\n
  4. Upload an image and use all the functionality available to you via the Media Library<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
